PDDBM has released an official statement regarding the 2026 Black History Month Fashion Show. The statement addresses event concerns, clarifies program and payment procedures, explains youth-centered program goals, and outlines improvements moving forward. Transparency, accountability, and empowering youth through creativity, education, and entrepreneurship remain central to PDDBM’s mission.

For generations, African Americans have fought to have their history recognized as part of the American story. Yet even today, Juneteenth and Black history are dismissed, minimized, or erased. The United States cannot fully understand itself without acknowledging the full truth of African American history—and until it does, the wound of erasure will remain.

Limited seating is available for the 2026 Black History Month Fashion Show & Student Graduation on May 23 in Vancouver, WA. Clark County students attend free with ID and pre-registration, and immediate family members (up to 7 per student) also attend free. Models are still needed, and participants can earn 25% through our Event Incentive Program. Register now before seats fill.
