🌟 Kwanzaa Celebration - December 14, 2024
Embrace the joy, unity, and cultural enrichment at the Annual PDDBM Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, WA. From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, enjoy a full day of music, dance, art, and delicious cuisine. This free, family-friendly event welcomes all ages, but don't forget—there are NO door sales. Secure your spot in advance and mark your calendars!
✨ DOORS LOCK from 11:45 am to 2:00 pm, so plan to arrive early and fully immerse yourself in the festivities. And for a truly unforgettable experience, join us for the Kwanzaa Karamu, an intimate communal feast celebrating the conclusion of Kwanzaa. Tickets for the Karamu must be purchased in advance at pddbm.org/events.
🎉 Black History Month Fashion Show - February 8, 2025
This year’s PDDBM Black History Month Fashion Show shines a spotlight on the creativity and talent of five young fashion designers from local middle and high schools in Clark County, WA. These designers, representing Vancouver Flex Academy, Jim Tangeman Center, Vancouver School of Arts, Jason Lee Middle School, and Rooted School of Vancouver, will debut their unique collections, showcasing the future of fashion through the lens of Black excellence and cultural pride.

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our nonprofit team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in various accounting software. Maintain accurate nonprofit financial records, track nonprofit expenses, manage nonprofit payroll, and handle other day-to-day nonprofit financial tasks.
*Duties*
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial records
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Utilize Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software for financial tasks
- Ensure accurate recording of debits, credits, and financial transactions
- Provide support in technical accounting matters
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
*Experience*
- Proven experience with nonprofit finances and financial records
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk would be advantageous
